Other than our main food bank project, we run and partner many other programs. One of these are Youth Development Schemes for young people in our community. Government funding has been reduced for youth centres and other youth related funding as well as the necessary closure of schools and education facilities due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

From this we made the decision to hold a youth program in partnership with New Horizon Community School.

From our safely arranged activities our wonderful youth are able to participate in activities that include the improvement in the use of the following skills:

  • Coordination skills
  • Communication skills
  • Collaboration skills
  • Reasoning & judgement skills
  • Personal development

We teach and tutor over zoom and on-premises when available – a wide range of subjects and topics, some of these are:

  • British Values
  • Maths, English and Science
  • IT
  • Sports
  • Art & Design
  • PSHE
  • Citizenship

Let’s build futures together.
